My Sheriff Steps Up...
From
BillyBob

I told you last week about sheriffs all over the Country that are saying they will refuse to confiscate weapons from law abiding citizens. I also told you that I had written my own sheriff and asked him where he stands on this entire mess. I wasn't really counting on a reply, but I got one.
Here is what he had to say;
Here is what he had to say;
Many of you have expressed an interest as to my position regarding the Second Amendment, the federal government’s attempt to restrict Second Amendment rights and how I, as sheriff, will react. Most of you know there are sheriffs throughout the United States, including myself, who have publicly expressed their concern and resistance to an attempt of a federal gun ban. Although I don’t believe there will ever be a federal ban on guns in our lifetime because of so many legal gun owners who would resist, but I do believe there will be attempts to ban, or at least restrict lawful gun ownership. The Second Amendment is in the U.S. Constitution for self-preservation, as an individual and for a free society. Any challenges to the U.S. Constitution will always be met by those of us who consider those God given rights, written and established in the U. S. Constitution and upheld, so far, by the Supreme Court, as an attempt to restrict individual freedoms. Any laws passed that would restrict those rights should, and will be, met with a challenge in the courts first, especially those challenges which are perceived to violate the U.S. Constitution.
I have no reason to doubt him. To my knowledge, his department is full of hard working deputies that treat people with respect. I'm really hoping I never have to find out if he means what he says. But it is nice to know that he respects the Constitution and the oath he took to defend it...Let there be no mistake, I consider the freedoms written in the Amendments to the U.S. Constitution for law abiding citizens, a sacred God given right. Our founding fathers who formed this government wanted nothing more than individual freedom from government intervention in everyday life. Freedom of speech, freedom from a government who could invade your home without a warrant, freedoms from governmental search and seizure, and freedom of self-protection, even from government. The Second Amendment was adopted to guarantee all of those rights.I have a sign on my desk that says, “Sheriffs – Law enforcement of the people, by the people and for the people.” I believe sheriffs are elected to uphold the laws established of the people, by the people, and for the people that the people want upheld. With that in mind, rest assured there will not be a confiscation of legally owned firearms in Cass County from lawful gun owners while I am sheriff.

Will You Submit & Obey?

Will You Submit & Obey?
By - Eric Peters
In New York, we have a prequel of what’s to come – the repeal of the Second Amendment and summary criminalization of peaceful citizens merely for possessing the means of self-defense, even in their own homes. As in Great Britain, citizens of NY face prison if they use proscribed weapons against murderous thugs – even in their own homes. The tyrants Michael Bloomberg and Andrew Cuomo have made their decision. Now New Yorkers will have to make theirs. And so will the rest of us – if, as seems likely, the federal tyrants succeed in issuing a New York-style fatwa that applies to the rest of the country. Which brings us to the question:
What will you do?
It is a very hard question. Perhaps the hardest question Americans have had to face since 1861. As then, there may be no peaceful way to preserve our rights. There may be blood. As then, one side is absolutely determined to impose its will at bayonet-point. To murder us in the thousands – perhaps millions, this time - if we refuse to submit. There is no reasoning, no discussing. What we face is violence against our persons by people who absolutely will not leave us in peace – no matter how peaceful we try to be – until we have submitted to them utterly and for all time to come. We wish only to be left alone – and demand that our right to defend ourselves against those who will not leave us alone be respected. That self-defense is the most basic of rights – a right conceded even to the lowest animal. They do not acknowledge our rights; they despise the very notion of us having any rights at all. They regard their power over us as limitless in principle – and rage at even the smallest assertion of freedom of action. They loathe our guns because our ownership of guns is an expression of our determination to defend our very lives – and thus, of self-ownership.
And that is what cannot be tolerated. Which is why the current bum-rush to disarm us has become absolutely frantic. The moment is at hand. We will either stand up and be reckoned with as free men – or we will sit down forever and accept any degradation, any humiliation. And in that case, we shall have proved worthy of such treatment. Future generations will look upon us with the same mixture of incomprehension and contempt that our generation looked upon those who meekly lined up naked in queue for their turn at the edge of the pit. Because it will come to that, in time.
For decades, in a slow and incremental way, they have progressively increased their claims on us. On the most intimate details of our private lives. On our literal bodies and those of our children. We no longer enjoy even the vestigial liberty of being free in our own homes. They are everywhere. They recognize no limits, no boundary beyond which they may not assert themselves over us. They read and record our conversations. They demand to know the minutia of our finances. They tell us with whom we must do business – and under what conditions. They lay claim to an unlimited amount of our income. They deny us even the prospect of real ownership of anything more than the clothes on our backs. They assert their “right” – that is, their unchecked power to do us violence – for any and no reason at all, beyond the reason that they have power and we do not. We are on the cusp now of literal, physical enslavement. Of being owned – because we are about to be rendered utterly defenseless.
Legally rendered defenseless.
If that is not just cause for resistance, then there is no cause for resisting anything, ever. Which is exactly the point being insisted upon: That we have no right to resist, because we have no rights. It is our role to Submit and Obey. Immediately, quietly. To anything and everything they tell us to do. To complacently accept as natural and right that our lives are the playthings of others – who may do with us as they please. That our lives do not matter. Because we do not own our lives.
Our lives are owned by them.
If we lose this battle, then we have already lost the war. The rest will be a mopping up operation. Having taken away not merely our guns but succeeded in intellectually defrocking us of the principle of self-defense and self-ownership that possessing arms affirms, it will be a very small thing indeed to take away much else besides. To take away anything – perhaps everything. Why not? We have already surrendered – and thus, already accepted the idea that nothing is off limits, that whatever small measure of vestigial liberty we may still possess is not actually possessed but merely tolerated . . . for the moment. And may be taken from us at any time, at their whim.
A defenseless man should expect no mercy. And a man unwilling to defend himself – and his fellow men – against tyranny deserves none.
Michael Bloomberg and Andrew Cuomo have made their decision. Diane Feinstein and Barack Obama will soon make theirs.
Then it will be our turn.
I have already made mine. It is the same decision made by Joshua Boston (USMC):
“I will not register my weapons…
“I am not your subject…
“I am not your peasant… .”
I am not a “tough guy.” I am not looking for a fight. Rather, I desperately wish to avoid one. I’m a middle-aged American just trying to live my life, work, enjoy my pastimes and my friends and family. To be an American. A free American. I dearly value my life. Which is precisely why, if I am backed into a corner by those who refuse to leave me be – even though I harm none – then I will turn and fight. God help me.
God help us all.
My Buddy, Semper Fi, 0321, sent me the link to this article. I'm reprinting this with the permission of the author, Eric Peters.
I think this sums up the way many of feel about the current climate in this Country. No matter what the liberals say, the goal is to take away our guns. obama can talk about how he shoots skeet at camp david and try to act like he values our rights as much as we do, but it's a lie. And it isn't about guns, it's about control. And once they have our guns, they have all of the control.

Gun free zones around obama and biden?
From
BillyBob
at

Yep, there's a petition for that. If it could only come to pass. This is the text of the petition;
Check out the page...
Eliminate armed guards for the President, Vice-President, and their families, and establish Gun Free Zones around them
Gun Free Zones are supposed to protect our children, and some politicians wish to strip us of our right to keep and bear arms. Those same politicians and their families are currently under the protection of armed Secret Service agents. If Gun Free Zones are sufficient protection for our children, then Gun Free Zones should be good enough for politicians. And, as of right now, 29,939 people have signed on for it. Imagine if what the government wants to force on the rest of us is exactly what they got. Isn't that an old joke? You know the one about beat me half to death? I'm sure you've heard it...

Number Of Nation's Sheriffs Refusing To Enforce Unconstitutional Gun Laws Snowballs
From
BillyBob
at
7:17 PM
I just wrote to my local sheriff to see where he stands. I don't know if I will hear back from him but maybe it will prompt him to put out a public statement like so many others have done.
I've seen articles lately about sheriffs that have pledged to obey the oath they have taken yet, through other actions, appear to be picking and choosing how they will obey that oath. Look, if these guys are willing to go on the public record as supporting MY 2nd Amendment Right, more power to them. My respect for them just went up 10 times. But, right now that public vow is pretty easy to make. When push comes to shove, what then? Will these guys really be willing to stand up to the atf or whatever jack booted thugs obama sees fit to send in? I hope so. But, you know, if it comes to that, it's going to get real ugly, real quick with or without the sheriff backing us up.
I think the number of people who are waking up to the realization that obama and congress REALLY do want to take our guns grows every day. I also think that people are talking about what happens after a government takes away the guns. 9 times out of 10, it doesn't end well for the suckers that gave up their guns. Millions of dead people can't be wrong.
Anyway, this is encouraging. Maybe that will catch on. It would be very cool to see people in charge in the Military saying similar things. Police departments. National Guard commanders.
And then what? Do you think the department of homeland security has enough bullets and AR's to take on all of us? They do have enough bullets, but not enough people to send them downrange...
From Florida to California, a growing number of the nation's sheriffs are standing up to gun control measures proposed by both the administration and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.).
Many law enforcement officials have written letters to President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden voicing their concerns over what they believe is an effort to infringe upon the Second Amendment.
In New Mexico, 30 of the state's 33 county sheriffs have reminded state lawmakers that they are under oath to support the U.S. Constitution, and that includes the Second Amendment.
CNSNews.com previously reported that 28 of the 29 sheriff's in Utah sent a letter to President Obama stating that they will not enforce any new gun laws they believe to be unconstitutional.
A host of Oregon sheriffs have said that they will not comply with any new unconstitutional gun regulations:
- Sheriff Craig Zanni wrote, "I have and will continue to uphold my Oath of Office including supporting the Second Amendment," in a letter to Coos County citizens.
- Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin said he would refuse to enforce any new Federal gun law he believes is unconstitutional.
- In a letter to Vice President Joe Biden, Grant County Sheriff, Glenn Palmer writes: "I will not tolerate nor will I permit any federal incursion within the exterior boundaries of Grant County, Oregon, where any type of gun control legislation aimed at disarming law -abiding citizens is the goal or objective."
- Sheriff Gil Gilbertson of Josephine County told Biden in a letter: "Any rule, regulation, or executive order repugnant to the constitutional rights of the citizens of this County will be ignored by this office."
- Sheriff Tim Mueller of Linn County, Oregon says his department will not participate in any overreaching and unconstitutional federal firearms restrictions.
In California, Sheriff Adam Christianson of Stanislaus County wrote to the vice president: "I refuse to take firearms from law abiding citizens and will not turn law-abiding citizens into criminals by enforcing useless gun control legislation."
A letter sent to Sen. Dianne Feinstein from Sheriff Jon Lopey of Siskiyou County, California states: "Our founding fathers got it right and many politicians are getting it wrong."
In Missouri, Lawrence County Sheriff Brad Delay tells the president: "I will...rise to the defense and aid of all Americans should the federal government attempt to enact any legislation, or executive order that impedes, erodes, or otherwise diminishes their constitutional right to keep and bear arms."
At a town hall meeting, Sheriff Denny Peyman of Jackson County, Kentucky told citizens "you are never going to pull a gun from Jackson County."
Smith County, Texas Sheriff, Larry Smith has said, "I will not enforce an unconstitutional law against any citizen in Smith County. It just won't happen."

The Hookers Union
A dedicated Teamsters union worker was attending a convention in Las Vegas and decided to check out the local brothels.
When he got to the first one, he asked the Madam, "Is this a union house?"
"No," she replied, "I'm sorry it isn't."
"Well, if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?"
"The house gets $80 and the girls get $20," she answered.
Offended at such unfair dealings, the union man stomped off down the
street in search of a more equitable, hopefully unionized shop. His search
continued until finally he reached a brothel where the Madam responded,
"Why yes sir, this is a union house. We observe all union rules."
The man asked, "And, if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?"
"The girls get $80 and the house gets $20."
"That's more like it!" the union man said.
He handed the Madam $100, looked around the room, and pointed to a stunningly attractive green-eyed blonde.
"I'd like her," he said.
"I'm sure you would, sir," said the Madam. Then she gestured to a 92-year old woman in the corner,
"but Ethel here has 67 years seniority and according to union rules, she's next!"

Current Bill
Summary
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
SB 124 -
This act creates the offense of failing to stop illegal firearm possession. A
person commits the offense if he or she is the parent or guardian of a child
under the age of 18, he or she knows the child possesses a firearm in violation
of the law, and he or she fails to stop the possession or report it to law
enforcement.
The offense is a Class A misdemeanor unless death or injury results from the
firearm possession in which case it is a Class D felony.
This act also creates the offense of negligent storage of a firearm. A parent
or guardian of a child under the age of 18 commits the offense by recklessly
storing or leaving a firearm in a manner that is likely to result in the child
accessing the firearm if the child obtains access to the firearm and unlawfully
carries it to school, kills or injures another person with it, or commits a
crime with it.
A firearm that is in a secure location or locked is not considered to be
recklessly stored or left in a manner likely to result in the child accessing
the firearm.
The offense is a Class A misdemeanor unless the child kills or injures
another person in which case it is a Class D felony.
The parent or guardian of a child injured or killed by a firearm may only be
prosecuted for negligent storage of a firearm if he or she was grossly
negligent.
This act requires a parent or guardian to notify a school district, or the
governing body of a private or charter school, that he or she owns a firearm
within 30 days of enrolling the child in school or becoming the owner of a
firearm.
The written notification only needs to include the names of the parent and
any child attending the school and the fact that the parent owns a firearm.
A person only needs to send one written notification if he or she has
multiple children attending the school or becomes the owner of additional
firearms. Any time a new child is enrolled in a school the parent or guardian
must send an updated notification with the new child's name.
Failure to notify the school under this act is an infraction, punishable by a
fine of up to $100. If a person is found guilty of negligent storage of a
firearm and has failed to notify the school of firearm ownership, the person
must be fined $1,000 in addition to any other penalties authorized by law.
MEGHAN LUECKE
My buddy Marc brought this to my attention. Seriously, does this woman think that I am going to go to my children's school and volunteer my firearm information? Seriously? Is she crazy? There are a few issues here, A. It's none of their business, B. IT'S NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS and C. IT'S NONE OF THEIR DAMN BUSINESS. And it's not her business either. And what firearms I do or don't own sure in the HELL isn't the business of the united nations.
Of course, since this woman doesn't directly represent me I can't send her an email through her official website. That's pretty stupid since her dumbass bill affects the entire State. I guess I'll just have to give her a call...

Women in Combat...
From
BillyBob
at
6:04 AM
It looks like leon panetta is going to allow Women to be on the front lines in combat. What do you think about that? I think it's a horrible idea and it's going to wind up getting people killed.
Let me explain.
I have no doubt that women will do a superb job of killing the enemies of this Country. Most Women I have known are cold blooded enough to handle the stress of combat without a moments hesitation or losing a minute of sleep.
On the other hand, I don't know if most men are prepared emotionally or mentally ready to see a Woman injured or killed on the field of battle. I think it is such a part of who we are to try and protect the female of our species, it will hard to keep that from playing a role.
I'm not saying that Women need to be protected, not saying that at all. But it is our nature, as men, to protect Women and children. It's what we do. There is still a small segment of the female population in this Country that appreciates that.
Anyway, seeing a Woman injured will cause men to lose their damn minds, rush out to help and put their own lives at risk.
Just another in a long list of stupid experiments by our government...

hillary learned from the master...
From
BillyBob
at
5:38 PM
I always hear people ask how hillary could stay with bill clinton after he cheated on her, over and over and over and over and over and over again. Today proves why. He is a master of redirection and deflection and she learned those lessons well.
How do you think the second most lecherous president ever, second only to john f. kennedy, kept his job after the whole lewinski incident? He turned the blame around. He redirected the anger and mistrust and walked away a god to democrats. Only a bunch of people with absolutely no values or morals would look up to a man with no values or morals.
Today hillary went in to that meeting without a leg to stand on. When she was called on her complete lack of leadership and the fact that the American people were lied to again and again, for weeks on end about the Benghazi disaster, she turned it around. She raised her voice and made stern gestures.
Personally, if I had been in the room when she asked "what difference does it make", I would have walked over and smacked the bitch in the mouth, because it does make a difference. We were lied to. She knew it then, she knows it now and so does every other member of this crooked administration. Someone should be in jail over this. For a long time. And it should be hillary and obama. Will we ever see it? Not a fucking chance. No one in congress has the balls to defend this Nation from these thugs and tyrants.
We are so screwed people, and now we can't even stock up on ammo...

Coming soon to your town?
From
Reg T
at
10:54 AM
The GOA (Gun Owners of America) is a no-compromise gun rights organization that actually fights for your rights, instead of compromising them away, little by little, the way the NRA does (while it pretends to take a strong stance against the very legislation it has helped to write, each and every time).
Here is an email from GOA concerning the registration of all firearms in Germany - TODAY - not back in the 1930's. Is it possible that the German government is preparing for possible resistance from their citizens after a large economic "correction", like the hyperinflation of the Weimar Republic, shortly before Hitler came to power or some other large event?
When you read this folks, remember something: the BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms - and Explosives, now) already has every 4473 form you signed when you bought a firearm from a private FFL dealer, gun store, department store, sporting goods store, etc. So, even though you may own one or more firearms that you bought from a private individual without filling out the paperwork, and have those safely cached somewhere, they WILL come looking for the ones you already registered (even though you didn't think that was happening). If/when confiscation begins, they will arrest you and search your house for the ones they know about. If they can't find any of them, they might let you go (hoping they can catch you with them later), but more likely, they will simply refuse to release you until you tell them where they are. Or maybe they will arrest your wife as a co-conspirator, or put your kids in a foster home until you tell them where they are.
If you don't want that to happen, you are going to have to decide ahead of time what you will do when it starts. That may involve sending the family some place else to keep them safe, or bugging out altogether, although warrants will probably be issued and tied to your license plates and driver's licenses. I may be over-reacting, but I think that the only thing that will stop them is what Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote many years ago:

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

You know the actor danny glover, right? The guy from Lethal Weapon, with Mel Gibson? Umm, he might be retarded. Or maybe he has done some bad narcotics. I'm not sure exactly, but something is wrong with the guy.
This is what he said to a group of students at Texas A&M recently...
“I don’t know if you know the genesis of the right to bear arms,” he said. “The Second Amendment comes from the right to protect themselves from slave revolts, and from uprisings by Native Americans.”
“A revolt from people who were stolen from their land or revolt from people whose land was stolen from, that’s what the genesis of the second amendment is,” he continued.Seriously? He has been saying stuff like this for years, and he keeps being allowed to speak in public. This guy should be put on some kind of medication and maybe locked up somewhere safe for a little while.
This is just another fine example proving that just because someone is famous, it doesn't mean they aren't a complete moron...

A quick story from the past...
From
BillyBob
at
5:16 PM
If you have never been to East Texas in the Spring time, you don't know anything about rain. It used to flood, damn near Biblical, just about every year.
Well, one spring morning, after it had rained for about a week, I picked up my buddy ECC for school. We stopped by my cousin's house to give her a ride too.
I had a 1963 Ford pickup. It wasn't pretty, but it was reliable. We got to school way earlier than we intended so like all good, young Rednecks, we decided to check out some of the muddy roads.
I knew of one road in particular that was nice and straight and muddy as hell.
I figured I would ease in there, turn around and tear shit up on the way out. It sounded like a good plan in my head and ECC agreed. I think I remember my cousin calling us dumbasses and saying it was a horrible idea.
We got about two thirds of the way down the road and the clay/mud grabbed my truck, pulled it into the ditch and sunk it right down to the frame.
Holy shit.
We got out and walked my cousin the two miles to school and then went and saw a guy with a wrecker.
This guy didn't have just any wrecker. It was a one ton, four wheel drive, dually. It was a beast. We all jumped in the wrecker and went down to assess the situation.
The guy pulled up to the end of the road, started laughing and told us to talk to him again in a week if it didn't rain any more. He gave us a ride to school.
On the evening of the the next day ECC says, "Hey, let's go get your truck." I'm always up for an adventure so we loaded up in his Dad's Datsun pickup and set out.
You know, that Datsun, a come-a-long and about a hundred feet of chain was all it took.
But between the time I left the truck and when we went back to get it, some kids had covered the entire thing in mud. Top to bottom, front to back and side to side.
ECC thought that was way more funny than I did, but he helped me wash it so it worked out ok...

Holder Begs Court to Stop Document Release on Fast and Furious

Here's what I don't get, if holder and obama are so fucking innocent in all of this, why are they fighting so hard to keep this stuff from being released?
I have a theory on that. I'm willing to bet that neither of them are innocent at all. They are both neck deep into fast and furious. I've thought so from the very minute this story broke. There is no doubt in my mind that eric holder ordered this operation with the full support and approval of obama, no doubt. It's also pretty apparent that releasing these documents will show they have far more involvement than they are claiming.
And, you can also count on this court to give eric holder and obama everything they are asking for. For some reason, that I will never understand, no one goes against obama, ever. I don't get it. What kind of magical powers can this guy have? He has committed treason against this Country, he has allowed American citizens to die at the hands of mexican thugs and terrorist thugs, and no on calls him on it? How is this possible? This Country has gone completely off the rails...
by Matthew Boyle - Breitbart
Attorney General Eric Holder and his Department of Justice have asked a federal court to indefinitely delay a lawsuit brought by watchdog group Judicial Watch. The lawsuit seeks the enforcement of open records requests relating to Operation Fast and Furious, as required by law.
Judicial Watch had filed, on June 22, 2012, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking all documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious and “specifically [a]ll records subject to the claim of executive privilege invoked by President Barack Obama on or about June 20, 2012.”
The administration has refused to comply with Judicial Watch’s FOIA request, and in mid-September the group filed a lawsuit challenging Holder’s denial. That lawsuit remains ongoing but within the past week President Barack Obama’s administration filed what’s called a “motion to stay” the suit. Such a motion is something that if granted would delay the lawsuit indefinitely.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said that Holder’s and Obama’s desire to continually hide these Fast and Furious documents is “ironic” now that they’re so gung-ho on gun control. “It is beyond ironic that the Obama administration has initiated an anti-gun violence push as it seeking to keep secret key documents about its very own Fast and Furious gun walking scandal,” Fitton said in a statement. “Getting beyond the Obama administration’s smokescreen, this lawsuit is about a very simple principle: the public’s right to know the full truth about an egregious political scandal that led to the death of at least one American and countless others in Mexico. The American people are sick and tired of the Obama administration trying to rewrite FOIA law to protect this president and his appointees. Americans want answers about Fast and Furious killings and lies.”
The only justification Holder uses to ask the court to indefinitely delay Judicial Watch’s suit is that there’s another lawsuit ongoing for the same documents – one filed by the U.S. House of Representatives. Judicial Watch has filed a brief opposing the DOJ’s motion to stay.
As the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was voting Holder into contempt of Congress for his refusal to cooperate with congressional investigators by failing to turn over tens of thousands of pages of Fast and Furious documents, Obama asserted the executive privilege over them. The full House of Representatives soon after voted on a bipartisan basis to hold Holder in contempt.
There were two parts of the contempt resolution. Holder was, and still is, in both civil and criminal contempt of Congress. The criminal resolution was forwarded to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ronald Machen–who works for Holder–for prosecution. Despite being technically required by law to bring forth criminal charges against Holder, under orders from Holder’s Department of Justice Machen chose to ignore the resolution.
The second part of the contempt resolution–civil contempt of Congress–allowed House Republicans to hire legal staff to challenge President Obama’s assertion of the executive privilege. That lawsuit remains ongoing despite Holder’s and the DOJ’s attempt to dismiss it and settle it.
It’s unclear what’s in the documents Obama asserted privilege over, but the president’s use of the extraordinary power appears weak. There are two types of presidential executive privilege: the presidential communications privilege and the deliberative process privilege. Use of the presidential communications privilege would require that the president himself or his senior-most advisers were involved in the discussions.
Since the president and his cabinet-level officials continually claim they had no knowledge of Operation Fast and Furious until early 2011 when the information became public–and Holder claims he didn’t read the briefing documents he was sent that outlined the scandal and how guns were walking while the operation was ongoing–Obama says he’s using the less powerful deliberative process privilege.

So long my Friend...
From

I found out today that a good friend from years ago passed away last March. We have been out of touch for quite a while and I think the last words we spoke to each other were in anger. I've regretted that for quite a while. He and I joined the Marine Corps together and went through boot camp on the buddy plan. It was a bad move on his part, with me being a natural smartass, he was guilty by association.
We had some good times and we had some bad times. The saddest part for me is that I don't even remember what came between us. For a lot of years he was one of about three people I knew I could count on, and I hope he knew he could count on me.

Poster child for Hypocrisy

I saw this on another web site and thought it was one of the more appropriate comments on the total, the complete and utter hypocrisy displayed by the Usurper-in-Chief, that low-life, muslim-loving, freckle-punching (unless he's a "catcher" and not a "pitcher" for those into Australian/American homosexual slang), betrayer of honorable American military and diplomatic men and women.
How anyone - even the idiots on the Left - can look at this disgusting creature and feel anything but disgust and disdain, is beyond me.

Police Shoot, Kill Dog When Going To A Home By Mistake

Another example of thug cops shooting an innocent animal AT THE WRONG HOUSE. This is getting to be an all too common occurrence.
I have to tell you, I care more about my dogs than I do most people. The cop that shoots my dog is going to wind up with a load of 00 Buck to the face.
And if a cop told me to "calm down, I can always get a new dog", he would get a load of 00 Buck to the nuts first, and then the face. What an asshole.
These thug assholes should do prison time over this shit. Be sure to read the comments under the article at the source...

An Adams County man is in shock after he says deputies shot and killed his dog.
Jeff Fisher said deputies went to his house by mistake. He said when they forced their way through the door his dog Ziggy ran outside and an Adams County Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed him.
“(He went to the door) to see who it was and the police officer shot him three times,” Fisher said. “They killed my dog for no reason.”
Fisher said Ziggy was his best friend and can’t believe he’s gone.
“I called the dog, he turned to come back to me and the police officer opened fire,” said Fisher.
Ziggy was an 8-year-old Blue Healer/Border Collie mix.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the address on reports of a business alarm going off.
A spokesman said he can’t say more until the investigation is complete but did release this statement, “It’s our goal at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to complete a thorough investigation of this incident, be able to answer any questions that people who have concerns about this incident may have and to do right for the owner of this dog.”
Fisher said he wants that deputy to be held accountable.
“I’m on the ground crying hysterically and the police officer says, ‘You need to calm down, you can get a new dog,’” said Fisher.

HURT: Gun edicts put personal liberty under fire
From
BillyBob

6:48 PM
It's kind of funny, but not really, how liberals don't give a shit about violated rights when it isn't rights they care about, like firearms ownership. It's also kind of funny, again, not really, how they have no problem with the huge, bloated, beast the federal government has become as long as it keeps passing out the free shit. I care about all of the rights, so much so that I was willing to give my life to protect them. Not many liberals can say that, can they?...
Where is the liberal outrage? Where is the liberal suspicion about powerful, unchecked governments? Where is the liberal unflinching devotion to individual liberty?
We have a president who has radically reshaped the landscape of American government so that it is more of a behemoth than at any time in history and more involved in every aspect of our lives. It is also more unanswerable than ever before.
Now this president is issuing 23 new edicts aimed at curbing individuals’ gun rights. At the same time, his federal agencies are stockpiling more and more weapons and ammunition.
And for what, exactly? To go hunting? To shoot the Chinese when they come to collect their debts? To shoot Mexicans tumbling over the Southern border? To shoot the Canadians?
What does the Department of “Homeland Security” suddenly need 1.4 billion more rounds of ammunition at the very point the same government is making it harder for citizens to arm themselves?
There are only 300 million of us. How many bullets do you need? That’s more than four bullets for every American man, woman and child. Is your aim really that bad? I mean, have you seen us lately? We are too fat to run very far.
You can say these concerns are some sort of Alex Jones, wack-nut, black helicopter paranoia or you can simply ask, “Why does the government need a billion more rounds of ammo just as it is trying to disarm citizens?”
And the lists. The lists of people who are deemed too mentally unstable to own a gun.
A principled liberal would be horrified at the notion that the government is going to keep giant lists of people who are criminals or who are deemed crazy or dangerous. And even more breathtaking is that these lists will be used to determine the degree of freedom those individuals will be granted by the government.
Do you remember the liberal outrage over the huge government list to keep people deemed dangerous from flying on airplanes? Ted Kennedy is turning over in his grave.
Now, of course, no one rightly objects to finding reasonable ways to keep criminals and wackos from getting their hands on guns. But it is shocking how easily and freely liberals have gone along with the notion of more giant government lists of crazy and bad people.
Once again, it's less about guns and more about control...

Have you had a chance to check out obama's Constitution shredding gun "control" executive orders? If you haven't, here they are...
1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.#1 sounds to me like it is saying that if you are a gun owner, your personal information will be available to just about anyone in the government that wants it, or needs to take out a credit card for Christmas shopping
2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.Once again, your personal information available to anyone in the government that wants it.
3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.See #1 and #2. If you look at all of the federal government employees that get caught each year using our tax dollars for their own personal enjoyment, I don't want any of these assclowns having access to SSN, address or any other information.
4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks. The entire ATF should be included on this list. When you think about it, they were just about the biggest gun runners of 2012, and that's pretty dangerous, just ask Brian Terry, or the hundreds of Mexican citizens that died because of Fast and Furious. Oh, wait, you can't ask them because they are all dead. Thanks obama and eric holder.
5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun. They can't already do this? Bullshit. They can check you out completely on a traffic stop.
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.Dealers do this all the time. How is this different than purchasing a gun online and having it shipped to your FFL? It isn't.
7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.Safe and responsible gun owners aren't the problem. Criminals and crazy fuckers are the issue. But once again, the safe and responsible gun owners are the ones getting screwed in this whole bullshit mess.
8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).Good idea. Let's enusre that a criminal breaking in to a home has plenty of time to shoot the homeowner while that poor sap is trying to figure out his trigger lock. Or maybe the police department can keep the keys. Isn't that what they were trying to do in chicago?
9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.Wow! A PRESIDENTIAL MEMORANDUM! That sounds real official. Remember when they traced the gun that killed Brian Terry to the Fast and Furious nightmare and nobody got in trouble for it? It's only OK for people to be killed with guns when the federal government is criminally negligent.
10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.Ok, you would think they would already be doing this...
11. Nominate an ATF director.Hopefully one that isn't a thug or criminal, but that might be asking for too much.
12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.Law enforcement and first responders should already have this training. This seems like a good reason to go out and spend BILLIONS more of our tax dollars on guns and ammunition.
13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime. No shit. Isn't that why we have gun laws? Does it really require an executive order to get cops to enforce the fucking law?
14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence. This is another really good idea, and another way to spend a bunch of tax dollars. Any idiot knows that most gun violence in this Country IS NOT DONE WITH "ASSAULT" WEAPONS! It's not rocket science. It is young, black or hispanic males with nothing to do, no role models and usually a gang affiliation. Check the stats. Cheap, disposable hand guns kill WAAAYYYY more people each year than an AR15 or an AK-47. Just a jump start for the CDC...
15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.eric holder is a racist idiot who I wouldn't trust with cap gun technology.
16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. My doctor has more guns than I do. We go shooting on a regular basis. But any other doctor? They can jam that information up their ass. It has nothing to do with my healthcare.
17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities. This is just dumb.
18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers. This is actually a good idea.
19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education. This is also a good idea, sort of. There is no cookie cutter answer for this problem. Every one of these institutions is different and needs a unique answer. The federal government isn't capable of solving a problem with that level of complexity, and they should probably stay out of it.
20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.A letter is always good, especially if it comes with a sandwich and a beer.
21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.WTF does this have to do with anything?
22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.Mental health is the real issue. It is the thing that should be driving the discussion surrounding the Sandy Hook incident, not trampling the rights of law abiding, tax paying American citizens.
23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries sebelius and duncan on mental health.
This should have been #1, except it should be lead by someone with some actual experience in this area. kitty cat sebelius isn't it. What in her background makes her an expert on mental health issues? Oh wait, she was the chief lobbyist for the Kansas trial lawyers association... does that count?
All in all, this is just obama doing something to look like he is doing something. It's stupid and these executive orders wouldn't have done a damn thing to stop the Sandy Hook shooting, the Colorado Shooting or any other incident. None of this stops punks from getting guns and shooting other punks.
As usual, only the responsible, law abiding gun owners pay the price for a VERY FEW DUMBASSES. It's not our fault! Stop blaming us for all the ills of society...
