Before 9:00 am yesterday I had already fired off emails to both senators from my State and my rep from the house about the new obama amnesty program.
Just so we are all on the same page, illegal aliens break the law every single day of their lives, and obama wants to hand them privelages? He wants to give them a right to work in our Country, free and clear.
What is our current unemployment rate? Oh, that's right, it's somewhere north of 10%. So, 10%+ of the people who are citizens of this Country are out of work and obama wants to make it fine and dandy for 800,000 illegal aliens to go out and get a job.
So as it turns out, obama DOES have a jobs plan, it's just not for Americans.
But my question is this, if obama has rendered congress irrelevant, why do we continue to pay them? It seems we could put that salary money to much better use. Maybe training the illegals for their new jobs?
Why does congress continue to let obama do end runs around their authority without even a whimper? Don't they know anything about the concept of co-equal branches of government? Don't they realize that he is making them all look like a bunch of pussies? It really pisses me off that the republicans haven't raised any hell. But you would think that even the democrats would be up in arms.
When you couple that with the fact that obama just giving a large group of people amnesty is a violation of the law and violates the Constitution, this is a real mess. And all for the sake of an election year stunt. This deosn't really change anything from a policy perspective with this administration. They have refused to do their job on immigration since day one. All this does is formalize it and put it in writing...
Folks have to come to the realization that it's not OUR country anymore. It got hijacked a long time ago, large corporate interests took it, and we have to take it back. And make sure they never try it again.
ReplyDeleteBut of course, that would mean that the Amerikan people would have to grow some balls, something they don't have at this time.
So, what's it going to take to get to that point? I mean, we have been used and abused and now we are $16 TRILLION in debt. We have been beaten and killed by crooked cops. Our air space and privacy is being invaded by spy drones. Our elected representatives have no regard for our Constitution and are only interested in their own agenda. And still we stand by. What's is going to take? Where to we make a stand? At what point do we say enough is enough? Maybe when obama steal the election in November. Maybe not.
DeleteAny effort to rouse the population to bring America back to what it used to be would result in indifference or worse. Those of us who have been observing the decline over the last 30 or so years are the best possible solution for returning society to what it should be after the crash happens. How many of us will survive the crash to restore practical living and self reliance to the country? There's no way to estimate that.

Grog, you are right. One of us can't make things right by ourself. And the likelihood of getting a bunch of people together that are willing to stand up is slim. When we become Greece or worse, Syria, will people stand up then? Maybe, but then it will be too late.
DeleteI'm going to do whatever it takes to protect me and mine. But I'm gonna keep preaching to everyone around me all the while...
I have lots of friends who are vets, they are as dumb as the rest and could give a rat's ass, everyone is so hung up on me, me, me! Self gratification is all I see, the guys I work with are in debt to their eyeballs and laugh at my frugalness. Nobody cares about this country anymore, we have it way too good, nobody's starving yet, and when the curtain comes crashing down, they'll all be too stupid to know what to do. I have alienated a lot of people with my survival/gov't preaching, just like with the Jehovah Witnesses/Mormons knocking on your door, folks don't want to hear it.
DeleteJust let it happen, they can find out the hard way.
Semper Fi, o321, I know the feeling. Most of the people I interact with on a daily basis are sick of hearing about "the revolution" as I call it. I don't get how this is rocket science. The signs are all around us. And every day it gets worse. And people just go about their business like tomorrow will never come.
DeleteHopefully some will listen to you, and open their eyes to current events. I don't try to talk with many people about what's happening, most of those I have tried to talk with don't want to listen, or think I'm worried about nothing. So I'll continue to prep and watch, and hopefully I can link up with those who think as we do after the crash.

Grog, that is the reason I started this blog a few years ago. I figured if I could convince just a few people that we are headed for disaster, I had done my job. I sure hope that it works. I'm not overly optimistic, but it's worth a shot.
